Artificial intelligence is going to take over the world!!! No, seriously I feel that in the next 5 to 6 years, we will find more and more AI tools that are going to help, assist or probably even take over from Humans. But, is Chat GPT going to compete with Google? I don't think we are ready for that question yet.

What is Open AI?

OpenAI is a research organization that aims to promote and develop friendly artificial intelligence in a way that benefits humanity. It was founded in 2015 by a group of entrepreneurs, researchers, and philanthropists who wanted to ensure that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) had a positive impact on the world.

The organization conducts research in a variety of areas related to AI, including machine learning, robotics, and economics. It also develops and releases tools and resources for the AI community, such as open-source software libraries and data sets, with the goal of advancing the state of the art in AI research and technology.

Fun fact about Open AI:

OpenAI was founded in 2015 with backing from Tesla TSLA, -11.41% CEO Elon Musk, billionaire investor Peter Thiel, Sam Altman (who serves as the company's CEO), and others. In 2019, it received $1 billion in funding from Microsoft MSFT, -0.74%

How Can Chat GPT Help In Content Creation?

I personally think by this point in time, we all have utilized the Chat GPT tool to answer some questions that we usually ask Google. Ideally, the AI tool can help with the following things:

1. Create an outline for your blog post

When you are designing a blog post to drive traffic to your website, the first step is to design an outline or a basic skeleton for the content in order to structure the article. An outline depends upon the tone of the article and the keyword research.

ChatGPT utilizes a Natural Language Process technology that helps content sound natural.

Here's what ChatGPT provided me for an outline for content creation:

  1. Introduction: This section should introduce the topic of the blog post and provide some context for the reader.

  2. Body: The body of the blog post should contain the main content and arguments of the post. It can be divided into multiple sections or subsections, each focusing on a specific aspect of the topic.

  3. Conclusion: The conclusion should summarize the main points of the blog post and provide some final thoughts or recommendations on the topic.

  4. Optional: Some blog posts may also include additional sections such as a call to action, further reading suggestions, or a list of resources.

To be fair, it isn't wrong, but there's more to an outline than just an introduction, body and conclusion. But, atleast it's a start.

2. Get ideas for what can be written in the article

This is by far the best feature I found about ChatGPT, it helps you get a structure for your blog post. Sometimes you miss out on certain points while researching a topic. So, ask the right questions, and get the best ideas for your articles.

AI is not perfect, ask precise questions to get the best answers!

3. Design informative FAQs

FAQs are essential for any website, no matter the niche. They drive engagement and traffic to your website and also help the users resolve doubts which increases the topical relevance.

Now, we all know that once we create the structure (including the keyword research), all we need to do is to write content that relevant and resolves the user search intent.

But, there are significant disadvantages of over-reliance on AI for your content.

Disadvantages of using Artificial Intelligence

AI can be wrong!

Artificial Intelligence is amazing, but it can be wrong, and it can mislead your audience. It cannot help every niche or every business, and it's probably best to utilize it only to get an idea about the topic. It cannot handle unique requests at the moment and might mislead you if you are using it to create content.

AI lacks the human touch

Content creators put their heart, soul, and blood into writing content, it requires a lot of hard work to find the right information and structure them. Even though Open AI uses NLP technology, it can never replace human touch and emotional intelligence. This means it can never understand your brand tone and messaging, be careful of the tone you write your articles in, as human interaction with AI-generated content isn't always the best.

Google's Helpful content update

Google has recently changed everything about how content should be represented on SERP. It wouldn't take them long before they decide to penalize AI content.

As per searchengineland, Google's helpful content update specifically targets “content that seems to have been primarily created for ranking well in search engines rather than to help or inform people.” This algorithm update aims to help searchers find “high-quality content,”

Content should always match the user search intent!

ChatGPT is a worthy opponent for Google, but Google is still the king and will always remain one till AI develops to counter it.

Here's my take on ChatGPT

Using artificial intelligence to assist with content marketing and copywriting can significantly enhance a business's ability to produce engaging and relevant content that resonates with its target audience. This can lead to increased engagement and more traffic to the business's website or social media channels."

But, right now, it is best to keep your content writers and help them utilize these tools rather than replace them. AI is the future, but in the present, humans can provide with more emotionally relevant content for your target audience and the best practice would be to understand the trend first.
